01.02.2005: Well, it was a great Holiday Season. Caitlin and I spent Christmas in Colorado with Jenifer, Alison, Philippa, Merritt, Marshall and the Dogs - no, wait, these Dogs. Now, thanks to Merritt and Chop, the whole family can proudly display their Bronco's attire. Or, better yet use the attire to knock off the "edge" from the Dogs' festive moments.
After a relatively short week at work, we brought in the New Year's at Rachel's and Marc's new place in the West Loop. This was a perfect, relatively low-key affair, however provided just enough drinking to justify a relaxing Saturday on the sofa watching the Bowl games.

12.05.2004: Well, it's been a very long time since the last update, so I'll provide some highlights from the past several busy months. At the begnning of September, we visited Luke, Maggie and Olivia in East Lansing for Olivia's baptism . Next, we have the "Chicago Sports Monster" soccer league champion - "Brewmasters". This is a team that started in August with a couple of folks kicking the ball around at a local school field, and continued with 20+ people taking home the Championship in October! Before taking home the Sports Monster Soccer championship, we visited Colorado at the end of September for Toni's and Jeff's wedding and the Annual Reddig golf tournament. You'll have to take a look at Merritt's pictures here as I was too hungover from the prior wedding night to take any pictures.
In October, there was a visit from Scott and Meagan, as well as another great visit from Luke, Maggie and Olivia. November brought, of course, Thanksgiving. This year we spent the holiday in Florida with Mary, Geoff and Kristin, and Sam and Suzy. We also got to have a first hand glimpse of the damage from this past summer's flury of hurricanes. Luckily, most of the damage was limited to uprooted trees and some flooding at Sam and Suzy's house, but was much worse in other areas. Finally, this past weekend we drove to South Bend, Indiana to partake in the festivites of Byron's and Courtney's wedding at the Notre Dame Basilica. This was quite an event and was capped off by Mr. Hurley's moves out on the dance floor. In between all the personal fun, there were also a couple of business trips to London thrown in the past couple of months and a couple more in the making over the next couple of months.
You can take a look at all the pictures from the past couple of months at the links below:

08.01.2004: Just a quick update from this weekend. Caitlin and I headed out to battle the crowds at Six Flags - Great America on Saturday. This has become an annual trip for the two of us. We just can't get enough of the "Raging Bull" and "Batman" rides. Here's a pretty good video of the Raging Bull - yes, the loud screaming is Caitlin. [Video]
After having enough with the thousands of people at the park, we headed home and then to Teasley's for an evening of drinking adult beverages on her front patio. The pictures of the weekend are up at the link below.

07.28.2004: Sorry for the delay on this one. My excuses stink lately, so I won't make up one this time. This past weekend, Meagan Shippert became the most recent one to tie the knot. The festivities took place in Colorado at The Sanctuary G.C. This is probably one of the most picturesque mountain courses I have seen. No time for golf this trip though, we got wedding bells.
Despite a foggy evening we had a great time, with the cake being the most enjoyable food of the evening. I managed to snap some good shots of the evening. Check those out at the link below.

07.18.2004: This past weekend, we had a wonderful visit from Luke, Maggie, and my god-daughter - Olivia. This is Olvia to the left beginning to walk at 11 months (with some help). On Saturday, we visited Teasley for her first annual Sheffield Garden Walk party. Her brother, James Sibley, brought his band, Smokestack, along for the party.
Saturday night, Luke and Maggie attended a wedding, so Caitlin and I babysat Olivia. This was a pretty easy task to perform for an infant who is so upbeat. You can see Olivia in action at the video clip link below.

07.09.2004: Well, here it is. The big day has come and gone. Caitlin and I tied the knot on June 26th in Beaver Creek. What a weekend! The official events started on Friday afternoon with the rehearsal, where we got the first glipse of Marshall and Caitlin walking down the aisle. The rehearsal dinner followed that evening at Chapparal - overlooking the Vail Valley. After partaking in a round of golf Saturday morning and before the 6:00pm ceremony, we got ourselves together to pose for a couple of pictures. The reception followed, where I just about lost my bride to my older brother (who, yes is a much better dancer than I). Not to worry though, the following Monday we headed off to the British Virgin Islands to be introduced to our home for a week - "BRIX", a 41 foot sloop. We spent the week, of course, sailing, throwing down a lot of painkillers, and taking in the views around the BVI's, including sunsets, and a full moon.
There are plenty of pictures at the links below for your enjoyment:

06.19.2004: Yeah, yeah, yeah...I know it has been a while. Sorry about that. Well, the past couple of months have been busy. Just to highlight a couple of events that I brought the camera out to. First, Caitlin and I vistited Rachel and Marc in Dayotn, Ohio for their very memorable wedding. We danced a little and of course drank a lot. Next, we have Teasley's "bring on summer" party. I made a complete fool of myself that night courtesy of overindulging on adult beverages. Never, ever mix an unknown quantity of margaritas on top of an unknown quantity of beers. Otherwise, you may loose your sandal and have a hard time getting it back on! Well, I guess that is what summer is for.
This is probably the last entry before the big day. However, be sure to check back in mid-July for pictures from the wedding in Colorado and honeymoon in the BVI's.

04.24.2004 Merritt and Alison Visit Chicago: Merritt and Alison, AKA to some of you "Digs" and "Chop", visited Chicago this past weekend. Yes, it was another sleepless weekend, but well worth it. Saturday, we enjoyed a day of drinking prior to, during, and after the Cubs game.
Wally revealed the up-and-coming headband fad. Not only does this look get all the women, it caught on real quickly!
Unfortunately, the Energizer© bunny didn't keep going and going with my camera, so you will need to check out Merritt's 100+ pictures in addition to my pictures at the link below.

04.19.2004 The Shenanigans from the weekend: Well, yes we did go to Vegas this past weekend. The Shenanigans started on Thursday when I met Peter and Geoff at The Treasure Island hotel. Quite a hotel to host the Miss Hawaiian Tropic International competition. Peter apparently stole a judge's credentials to strike a pose with some of the visitors there for the competition.
Of course, there is always the Elvis sighting in a town like this. And, a couple of gentlemen came out a little ahead on the last night of the event.
Check out the entire event at the "Las Vegas!" link to the left. Also, up soon Merritt's coverage.

04.11.2004: Wow, it has been a while since the last update. Sorry about that! I will highlight what has been going on the past couple of months. Back in February, we had a great visit from Marshall, Jenifer, and Philippa. During their visit, we headed down to the Shedd Aquarium to see the fisheys and the dolphins. And, of course there is always some R&R time.
Throughout March, we of course checked off a couple of more bars from the list of thousands in Chicago. For all you metrosexuals, there is always the Fulton Lounge. Sara and JB were in town for a wedding a couple weeks back, and this is where the Groom had his post-rehearsal dinner shenanigans. Don't make the mistake that I did and wear your North Face jacket and jeans to this place!
Last night, after watching the University of Denver win the 2004 NCAA National Hockey Championship, Caitlin and I took in a show from the Blue Man Group at the Briar Street Theatre here in Chicago. These are the guys you saw in the Intel® commercials a while back. What a show! If you are ever in New York, Chicago, Boston, Berlin, or Las Vegas, I highly recommend seeing these guys! Speaking of Vegas - next on the docket:
April 15 - 18: ¡Viva, Las Vegas! Check back here next week for the full commentary from the Bachelor Party weekend. April 23 - 25: Merritt and Alison come to Chicago; when we will take in a Cubs game against the NY Mets!
In the meantime, enjoy a couple of pictures from February and March at the link below.

01.16.2004: I would like to start out this excerpt by asking: where would you rather be? Here or Here? Well, for the two of us, the choice was easy. We chose the latter, and headed down to Florida last weekend and had a wonderful time.
Please feel free to check out the pictures from our short visit.
